Casino sign-up and verification
A sign-up flow that takes new players from registration to a verified account, ID and selfie included, in one sitting.
Overview
Real-money casinos have to verify every player before they can play: ID document, face check, phone number. I redesigned the sign-up for a sportsbook and casino, from wireframes to final UI, so that verification feels like part of signing up rather than a wall after it.
Problem
New players sign up for the welcome bonus, then hit verification: upload a document, take a selfie, wait. Many stop there. The flow had to make every step obvious, keep the reward in sight, and work whether the player is on a computer or a phone.
How might we
How might we get a new player from “Register” to a verified account without losing them on the way?
Process
Wireframes first
I mapped the whole flow in wireframes before any visual design: registration, phone code, choosing how to verify, ID capture, face check and done. That made it easy to agree on the steps and the copy before arguing about colours.

From wireframe to UI
Each wireframe became a final screen with the same structure. The welcome bonus sits next to every step, a constant reminder of what the player gets at the end.

Solution
Choose how to verify
Players without a camera on their computer can switch to their phone with a QR code or an SMS link, then come back to the same place.

ID capture
The browser asks for camera access with a clear pointer to the permission prompt. The document fits into a frame, gets captured automatically and confirmed with a check.

Face check
The same pattern for the selfie: an oval to fit the face into, a scanning state and a confirmation.

Phone code and done
A four-digit code confirms the phone number, and the final screen confirms registration and the bonus.

Outcome
The flow shipped and covers sign-up and verification end to end, with every step and state designed in wireframes and final UI, on desktop and mobile.
Learnings
- Keep the reward visible. A bonus panel next to every step does more than any progress bar.
- Verification is a hardware problem as much as a design one: always give the player a way to switch to their phone.
